Local Man Mark Jones sets off on the first leg of his epic journey the "paris dakar", infact mark is doing "portsmouth to dakar" as he is riding to the start of the rally. After Mark had left the staff here at Irelands had just started relaxing when a phone call came in Mark had been knocked off of his bike loading on to the channel crossing, Luckily no damage had been done to the bike or Mark.
